Jesus is King Hoodie

John 14: “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. 2 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. 4 You know the way to the place where I am going.”

5 Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?”

6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”

So when the influences of this world tell you to 'have it your way', do not be deceived. Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths."

Living your life in Christ i.e. "His way" is the way to a closer relationship with God. As Jesus says in John 15: “If you love me, keep my commands. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth" (the Holy Spirit)

and John 21: "Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.”

He is the way, sent by the One who created all that we know and love; and receiving the gift of the holy spirit to align your will with His will so they are the same way. Without knowing His way your own way will lead away from God.
